Internship - Education & Communication Sectors

The mission of the Education Sector is to unite the global community in support of the future of education. It takes on a role of both global and regional leadership with the overarching goal of ensuring that every youth, and adult has access to quality education throughout their life.

 

Support for Programs and Projects:

  • Contribute to project document preparation and review, including drafting notes and creating technical annexes.
  • Prepare conceptual frameworks and concept notes for new areas of work or development challenges.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data for various projects.
  • Contribute to the production of documents, working papers, and conceptual frameworks on specific areas of work or development challenges.
  • Assist in the development of technical support for new interventions or projects.
     

Operations Support:

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for planning and organizing meetings, events, workshops, and conferences.
  • Support the preparation of budgets, financial documents, accounting materials, and project documentation and evaluation.
  • Develop and manage education projects, including data analysis, policy brief design, and insight into project development and implementation.

  • Understand multilateral processes and global policy-making in education.

  • Gain international project management skills through hands-on experience.

  • Develop domain knowledge, research, writing, and communication skills.

  • Strengthen soft skills such as stakeholder management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

  • Acquire BJESCO Competency Framework skills in teamwork, flexibility, communication, and client-focus.

The BJESCO Internships Programme is open in every year. Candidates shall apply to the vacancy that matches their personal expertise and domain. Candidates who successfully applied to the vacancy will stay in the intern talent pool and will be further assessed and selected by relevant hiring managers.  The candidature will be valid for 6 months. Candidates who have been selected will be contacted directly by the relevant hiring manager. Those who were not selected for an internship in the current cycle will need to reapply to the internship programme when the new internship vacancies are released.

Age:

Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.

 

Academic Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in Undergraduate or Postgraduate studies in any field.

 

Language Skills:

Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Working knowledge of the other language is an asset.

 

Computer Skills:

Excellent knowledge of computer systems and office-related software.

 

Team Player:

  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Adaptability to an international working environment.
     

Communication Skills:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
