Project Coordinator

A Project Officer is a key professional responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects within BJESCO. Their role is diverse, encompassing a range of tasks aimed at ensuring the successful delivery of projects while adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Here is an overview of the key functions typically associated with the position of a Project Officer:

 

Project Planning:

  • Assist in the development of project plans, outlining objectives, timelines, resource requirements, and milestones.

    Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure a comprehensive and realistic project plan.

Communication Management:

  • Facilitate communication among project team members, stakeholders, and other relevant parties.

  •  

    Coordinate project meetings, ensuring agendas are set, and minutes are documented to keep all stakeholders informed.

Resource Management:

 

  • Assist in the allocation and utilization of resources, including personnel, budget, and materials.
  • Work with project managers to identify resource constraints and propose solutions.

Quality Assurance:

  • Support the implementation of quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet established standards.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and audits to identify and rectify quality issues
  • Understand and apply various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to effectively contribute to project planning and execution.

  • Develop proficiency in creating, organizing, and maintaining project documentation, including project plans, reports, and status updates.

  • Enhance communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration among project team members, stakeholders, and other relevant parties.

  • Gain knowledge and skills in resource allocation, tracking, and utilization to support efficient project execution.
  • Acquire the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, contributing to proactive risk management.
  • Learn and apply quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality project outcomes in adherence to established standards.

 

Candidates shall apply to the vacancy that matches their personal expertise and domain. Candidates who successfully applied to the vacancy will stay in the intern talent pool and will be further assessed and selected by relevant hiring managers.  The candidature will be valid for 6 months. Candidates who have been selected will be contacted directly by the relevant hiring manager. 

Age:

Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.

 

Academic Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, project management, engineering, or a related discipline is often required. 

 

Desirable Qualifications:

A postgradaute degree in a relevant filed such as business administration, project management, engineering, or a related discipline is often required. 

 

Project Management Certification:

Having a project management certification, such as the Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), can be beneficial and demonstrates a solid understanding of project management principles

 

Computer Skills:

Excellent knowledge of computer systems and office-related software.

 

Team Player:

  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Adaptability to an international working environment.
     

Communication Skills:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
